Future Varsity–NAEMD JOSH 2025 Celebrates Youth Talent and Collective Creativity
Mumbai: Future Varsity–NAEMD JOSH 2025, one of Mumbai’s most dynamic intercollegiate cultural festivals, concluded successfully, reaffirming its stature as a powerful student-led platform celebrating talent, creativity, and collaboration. Organised by Future Varsity and Nest Academy of Event Management & Development (NAEMD) , the festival showcased the energy and vision of India’s youth through large-scale competitive and cultural engagements.Held under the theme “Power of We – From Humanity to Infinity,” JOSH 2025 brought together participation from over 120 colleges and more than 2,500 students from Mumbai and across Maharashtra through extensive audition rounds and a grand finale. Entirely conceptualised and executed by NAEMD students, the festival featured flagship events such as Student Idol, Fusion Dance, Fashion Show, and Band Contest, celebrating collective effort, creativity, and youthful expression.The JOSH Finals, hosted at Bal Gandharva Rangmandir, Bandra, witnessed high-energy performances by finalists selected through multiple audition rounds conducted across college campuses, creating an electrifying atmosphere and a competitive yet celebratory stage for emerging talent.Future Varsity–NAEMD JOSH 2025 recorded exceptional performances across categories, with Thakur College of Science & Commerce winning the Best College title along with the Fashion Show category. Prahladrai Dalmia Lions College emerged victorious in the Band Contest, while Pillai College of Arts, Commerce & Science secured the Fusion Dance title. Future Varsity NAEMD JOSH festival was evaluated by a distinguished jury panel comprising Arpita Chakraborty, live performer and Indian playback singer, and Rishabh Panchal, singer and songwriter, who judged the Student Idol and Band Contest categories, with the Fashion Show and Fusion Dance categories evaluated by Shaina Lebana, model, actor, and professionally trained dancer, and renowned filmmaker Vijay Lalwani of Kartik Calling Kartik along with singer and music director Rohit Shyam Raut serving as jury members across all JOSH categories; the Femina Miss India Maharashtra segment was judged by an eminent panel comprising Arshia Rashid, Femina Miss India Maharashtra 2024 and Femina Miss India West 2024, Disha Patil, Miss India Maharashtra 2022, Smita Gondkar, Indian actress and second runner-up of Bigg Boss Marathi Season One, Ashwinii Aher, model and influencer, Mrs. Arti Srivastava, founder of Yuri Woori, Dr. Nida Khateeb, founder of Dentokraft, and Simran Sachdeva, actress from television and Bollywood, bringing strong industry expertise and credibility to the platform. In a historic milestone, for the first time in 60 years, the Miss India Organisation granted an academic institution the official license to host and organise the Femina Miss India Maharashtra state pageant. The event was exclusively managed by Future Varsity through its students, providing hands-on exposure to large-scale event management, media operations, and the fashion industry.
