Jaipur, June 21, 2025 (SCNWire)— On the vibrant occasion of World Music Day, Rajasthani artists across genres came together in spirit to celebrate the universal language of music — a medium that transcends boundaries, cultures, and generations. From folk rhythms to modern rap, the artists of Rajasthan paid heartfelt tributes to the power of sound, melody, and emotion.
Rapper and stage performer Honey Trouper, known for fusing Marwari language with contemporary beats, shared a powerful message: “Music is not just a blend of notes — it’s the language of emotion. Every beat carries a story, every rhythm holds a feeling.” For Honey, music is a personal journey of expression. Whether it’s a folk tune or a fast-paced rap track, he says music keeps him grounded and gives him purpose.
Popular singer and performer Rini Chandra also expressed her deep spiritual connection with music. “Music is not just my profession, it’s my prayer,” she said. “When I sing, I don’t just deliver words — I pour out emotions. Whether it's joy or pain, my voice becomes the message.” On this special day, Rini thanked her listeners, fellow artists, and everyone who’s supported her musical path, adding, “Music is my breath, and every song is my gratitude.”
The spotlight also shined on Rajasthan’s vibrant folk scene. Initiatives like The Folk Route Project, artists like Ammy Rajwada, and emerging talents such as ARHAM are blending traditional Rajasthani instruments with modern melodies to create a fresh sound that still honors their roots. They believe that music doesn’t need a language — “When folk meets soul, it becomes an energy that connects hearts and soothes the spirit.”
Throughout the day, online platforms, local events, and social media were flooded with musical dedications, performances, and reflections from artists and fans alike. The sentiment was clear: in a world full of noise, music continues to be the heartbeat that unites us all.
On World Music Day, Rajasthani artists reminded us that music is not just entertainment — it’s identity, culture, and soul. Whether through the echo of a sarangi or the rhythm of rap, Rajasthan continues to sing its stories with pride.
